The latest update of iCell enhances the user experience on the iPhone with the introduction of larger text for all descriptions and the capability to adjust text description levels on both iPhone and iPad platforms.

iCell provides an immersive 3D exploration of cellular structures, catering to students, educators, and biology enthusiasts. The application features detailed representations of three types of cells: animal, plant, and bacteria. It serves as a valuable educational tool for understanding the various components that biologists, biochemists, and DNA researchers at the HudsonAlpha Institute study in their pursuit of advancing biotechnology.

User interaction is intuitive; by tapping on different parts of the cell, users can select and zoom into specific organelles. Each organelle is accompanied by its name and a concise description of its role within the cell.

For enhanced visualization, users can hold one finger on the screen to drag and rotate around the cell or a selected organelle. Additionally, zooming in and out is easily accomplished through pinch or flare gestures using two fingers simultaneously.
